Next Snow Threat (updated 2/7/18)

Good Evening,

Just a quick model update for the storm I have been talking about for a few days now.

Monday February 11th will feature a weak clipper system passing to our south, bringing light snow showers to the region. This will lead us into our next storm system Late Tuesday and into Wednesday. This system will be much stronger, and will have enough cold air initially, to bring snow. The question will become does the cold air stay put to bring all snow, a mix, or a eventual changeover to rain?

12z FV GFS

12z CMC

12z GFS

As you can see the GFS and CMC models are advertising a potent snow maker to the tune of 6+, the euro is advertising a snow to ice to rain event.

Just wanted to give a quick heads up to what could come next week!

Thanks for reading!
